Established the “Yongjia County Qingshuibu Town Instrument Valve Factory No. 2”

In 1984, Wang Hanzhou and Huang Mingjin partnered to establish the “Yongjia County Qingshuibu Town Instrument Valve Factory No. 2”. In 1989, the company was renamed “Yongjia County Import and Export Valve Factory,” specializing in the production of valves for imported equipment and undertaking the localization of imported valves. Initially, the company was small-scale and lacked the capacity for large-scale production. Producing general-purpose valves on a small scale would have been economically unprofitable; therefore, the company focused on orders with specific customer requirements. At that time, some domestic petrochemical and steel companies imported their production lines from abroad. The valves used in these imported systems were expensive, and procurement and maintenance were difficult. Therefore, users urgently needed to localize imported valves. Chaoda seized this opportunity, leveraging its expertise in foreign valve standards, information, and technology to develop various domestically produced valve products that met the specific operating conditions of its customers.

In the late 1990s, with the increase in overseas labor costs, foreign valve companies urgently needed to find valve companies with lower labor costs and better technology to cooperate with. With its strong technical strength, it gradually gained recognition from domestic valve users. Through more than ten years of unremitting efforts, in 1999, Zhejiang Chaoda Valve Co., Ltd. was established with Yongjia County Yinpei Valve Factory as its core. During this period, Chaoda products mainly entered the international market through OEM. It gained a lot in the process of cooperating with foreign valve companies, especially in terms of enterprise management model and quality control system.
