According to the “Administrative Measures for the Recognition of High-tech Enterprises,” a national high-tech enterprise refers to a resident enterprise registered in China (excluding Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan) for more than one year that continuously conducts research and development and technology transfer in the “National Key Supported High-tech Fields,” forms core independent intellectual property rights, and conducts business activities based on these rights.
Chaoda Valve Group Co., Ltd.’s application for high-tech enterprise status was completed over several months with the strong cooperation of multiple departments, including the Technology Department, Finance Department, and Human Resources and Administration Department, under the specific guidance of the General Manager. Through the implementation of this project, Chaoda Valve Group established a science and technology project application team, improved the company’s product research and technology project archives, set a template for the standardized management of the company’s research and technology projects, and laid a solid foundation for further improving the company’s overall technological innovation level.
Since 2008, the criteria for national high-tech enterprise recognition have been significantly raised. In addition to the original hard assessment indicators such as enterprise management level, technology transfer capability, and annual sales revenue, new indicators such as possessing independent intellectual property rights and increasing R&D investment have been added. It is emphasized that high-tech enterprises must continuously conduct research and development and technology transfer in the national key supported high-tech fields, form core independent intellectual property rights, and build independent innovation capabilities.
