Chaoda Valve’s Enterprise Technology Center was designated a Zhejiang Provincial Enterprise Technology Center in 2006, specializing in the development and research of new valve products and technologies. The company formulates an annual new product R&D plan at the beginning of each year and allocates no less than 3% of its sales revenue to scientific and technological research and development annually. In the 2014 Zhejiang Provincial Enterprise Technology Center re-evaluation, Chaoda Valve achieved outstanding results, ranking 7th in Zhejiang Province and being rated as an “Excellent” Provincial Enterprise Technology Center, far exceeding the average ranking of 494th for other valve enterprise technology centers in Yongjia County.
The research and development direction of Chaoda Valve’s Provincial Enterprise Technology Center mainly focuses on the valve needs of industries such as petroleum and petrochemicals, coal chemical industry, natural gas, polysilicon, new energy, and offshore oil. It centers on various high-parameter special metal hard-seal ball valves, and conducts in-depth research, development, and technological innovation on ball valves, gate valves, check valves, globe valves, control valves, cryogenic valves, bellows valves, plug valves, and butterfly valves. Chaoda Valve focuses its research and development on high-parameter special valves that are resistant to high pressure, high temperature, wear, frequent opening and closing, and long service life, in order to meet the various demanding requirements of users for valve products under different operating conditions.
Qiu Xiaolai, Director of the Technology Center of Chaoda Valve Enterprise, has been engaged in valve research and technology development for 31 years. He has served as the Chief Engineer of Chaoda Valve since 1995. He is currently a member of the National Valve Standardization Technical Committee, a member of the National Pipeline Accessories Standardization Technical Committee, Vice Chairman of the Science and Technology Expert Committee of the China Valve Association, a member of the Special Equipment Safety Technical Committee of the State Administration for Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, a member of the Pressure Piping Subcommittee of the National Boiler and Pressure Vessel Standardization Technical Committee, and a visiting professor at Kaifeng University.
