Yongjia County Yinpei Valve Factory

In 1968, some Yongjia natives working elsewhere brought back the first batch of valve business from Tianjin, marking the beginning of Yongjia County’s enduring valve industry. In 1973, Wang Hanzhou, along with Huang Mingjin and others from Oubei, began exploring valve production technology based on market demand. From 1969 to 1973, the development of Yongjia’s pump and valve industry was slow; some collective enterprises in Oubei and Shangtang in the county seat were merely exploratory in valve production. In June 1984, Wang Hanzhou and Huang Mingjin started with 3,000 yuan and founded the Yongjia County Qingshuibu Instrument Valve Factory, beginning the production of general-purpose valves. That year, its output value exceeded 50,000 yuan. Due to market recognition of its quality, the Yongjia County Qingshuibu Instrument Valve Factory expanded. In 1989, it was renamed the Yongjia County Yinpei Valve Factory, establishing partnerships with several large domestic steel companies. While producing valves to match imported equipment, it optimized valve structure, service life, and sealing performance, continuously developing distinctive valve products. In 1999, Zhejiang Chaoda Valve Co., Ltd. was established with Yongjia County Yinpei Valve Factory as its core. Wang Hanzhou served as chairman. Through the shareholding system, the management rights and ownership

Established the “Yongjia County Qingshuibu Town Instrument Valve Factory No. 2”

In 1984, Wang Hanzhou and Huang Mingjin partnered to establish the “Yongjia County Qingshuibu Town Instrument Valve Factory No. 2”. In 1989, the company was renamed “Yongjia County Import and Export Valve Factory,” specializing in the production of valves for imported equipment and undertaking the localization of imported valves. Initially, the company was small-scale and lacked the capacity for large-scale production. Producing general-purpose valves on a small scale would have been economically unprofitable; therefore, the company focused on orders with specific customer requirements. At that time, some domestic petrochemical and steel companies imported their production lines from abroad. The valves used in these imported systems were expensive, and procurement and maintenance were difficult. Therefore, users urgently needed to localize imported valves. Chaoda seized this opportunity, leveraging its expertise in foreign valve standards, information, and technology to develop various domestically produced valve products that met the specific operating conditions of its customers. In the late 1990s, with the increase in overseas labor costs, foreign valve companies urgently needed to find valve companies with lower labor costs and better technology to cooperate with. With its strong technical strength, it gradually gained recognition from domestic valve users. Through more than ten years of

Ball valve selection and use

I. Ball Valve Temperature and Pressure Limitations For valve seats and seals made of PTFE or RTFE, the operating temperature should be between -290℃ and 2000℃. The operating temperature for other types of valve seats and seals should be verified by the factory. The nominal pressure rating (PN) of the valve indicates its ultimate operating pressure at normal temperatures. For example, PN4.0 indicates that its ultimate operating pressure is 40 Bar (4.0 MPa) at an operating temperature of -290℃ to 380℃. For precautions regarding electric or pneumatic actuators, refer to their respective instruction manuals. II. Ball Valve Installation 1. Remove the protective caps on both sides of the flange and flush the valve with it fully open. 2. Before installation, perform a full-machine test according to the specified signals (electric or pneumatic) (to prevent vibrations during transportation from affecting performance). Only after passing the test can the valve be installed online (wiring refers to the wiring diagram for electric actuators). 3. Before connecting to the pipeline, flush and remove any remaining impurities from the pipeline (these substances may damage the valve seat and ball). 4. During installation, do not use the valve actuator as a lifting point to avoid damaging

Chaoda Valve’s 30th Anniversary Milestones

In 1984, Wang Hanzhou and Huang Mingjin partnered to establish the “Yongjia County Qingshuibu Town Instrument Valve Factory No. 2”. In 1989, the company was renamed “Yongjia County Yinpei Valve Factory”, specializing in the production of valves for imported equipment. Extra-large diameter safety valves and negative pressure safety valves were used in coking projects at Shijiazhuang Coking Plant, Panzhihua Iron and Steel Group, and Maanshan Iron and Steel Group, replacing imports. In 1992, the company successfully registered the “Chaoda” trademark, aiming to “surpass ourselves through continuous innovation and meet the needs of high-end customers”. It produced API standard gate valves, globe valves, and check valves, exporting them to Japan through Shanghai Minmetals Corporation. In 1995, Qiu Xiaolai, deputy director of the Valve Department of the Hefei General Machinery Research Institute of the Ministry of Machinery Industry, joined the company, establishing a valve research laboratory. In 1996, Ning Danfeng, chief engineer of Lanzhou High Pressure Valve Factory, joined the company to implement a quality management improvement project. In 1997, a website with the domain name [domain name missing] was established. In 1998, a corporate technology research center was established, specializing in the development and research of new valve technologies and products.
